Good news having another chassis on the grid...

Hopefully the MotoGP class will finally learn to get rid of the rider aids as a replacement for winter testing bans to cut costs!!

Easy there, Richard. Stoner may have the reputation as an electronics rider, but remember what Nicky said when he first looked at Casey's data which was that he used much less traction control than Nicky and wasn't Nicky of all people the alleged big slider-guru...

Anyhow, other Moto2 news: Bimota will probably come into the class with a few wildcard entries this season. They work together with FB Corse and Simone Grotzkyj Giorgi as their test rider.

And MZ might possibly even get a fixed place for the season in case there are more team dropouts by now due to missing sponsor money. The final entry list is due to be out later this month, so I'm very curious who'll be on that list.

Waldi won't ride that thing, so: No sir, this is not the case. ;)
But I do want MZ to survive and I believe that having a bike on the Moto2 grid is the best promotion they could get and it might do the trick of keeping the company alive. Would be a crying shame if they closed the doors another time and this time for good.

Bimota have been running their Moto2 bike...
Seems like they might actually be on the grid.

Hopefully in the Italian tricolore...

Is it just me,or has anyone noticed that Moto 2 is over subscribed and World Supersport is struggling a bit with teams?.Does this now mean it's cheaper to race a gp experimental bike than it it is to race a "production" bike!!??

Mmmh, good question. But I wouldn't worry too much about it yet. There were lots of teams leaving not only Supersport but also Superbike this year because of sponsoring issues, but these then in turn didn't enter Moto2. So one doesn't necessarily influence the other that much yet. There are a lot of brandnew teams in Moto2 and a lot of it is - I believe - simply down to the novelty effect of the class, the high media attention and especially the possibility for basically every team to have a real shot at the title in the first year. I'm pretty sure we'll see a couple of seats vanish throughout the season when the results don't come and the handful of sponsors get unhappy. It's like a fresh start for everyone and I think a bunch of companies thought they might just risk something and throw their hats in the ring while maybe in Supersport there are already favourites and well-experienced teams.
I don't think we'll have an equally high number of bikes on the Moto2 grid next year again though. We'll see.

from a personal POV i think moto2 is much more appealing than WSS

i always think WSBK is run terribly and is only saved by the great racing

Technomag CIP presented their bike and riders Dominique Aegerter and Shoya Tomizawa. If I'm not mistaken, this is the first official presentation of a listed Moto2 team.

Looks a bit like they tried to copy Wrooom on a smaller scale. ;)
