After Suzuki announced that Alvaro was leaving.... He has now just been confirmed to ride for Gresini Honda in 2012.

I don't understand why Bautista wanted to leave Suzuki as he did pretty good with the bike but hey I respect his decision to move up to Gresini Honda. Let's hope he does well apart from being ahead of Ellison and Crutchlow that is but any other time it's good with me.

It is a question "mechanical." Suzuki apparently offered him to make the entire 2012 season with the 800cc, while the other riders, they would do with the 1000cc from the beginning. He would be clearly at a disadvantage ...

Wrote a [long, long] article with pretty much every bit of information that's out there about Álvaro's move to Gresini Honda: http://www.alvarobautista.co.uk/2011/11 ... irst-time/

Meanwhile, looks like he got away just in time with Suzuki apparently not being on the grid the next two years...

Now I look that Bautista did make a smart move after all. I didn't know if it was smart at first but now quite clearly I could tell where Bautista was coming from in order to make that move.
